In 1992, Schoeller & Hoesch SAS was founded in France by the German paper manufacturer Schoeller & Hoesch GmbH, which applied melt blown technology to its production processes. In those early days, production was focused on products in the filtration and sanitation sectors, but over time they gravitated towards the area of absorbent materials.
Today, Schoeller Industries is Europe's leading manufacturer of non-woven sorbents made from polypropylene microfibers, which are used in all industries to clean up oil and chemical spills.
